Description

BOOK MARKER BARS. To assist in packing process every 25th book cover was marked with a bar across the spine. Usually black, but red bars are seen. Occuring on every 25th booklet, booklets with bars are numerically scarcer than cylinder booklets. Cylinder books that also have marker bars are scarce occuring only once in every 200 machine vended books and every 250 counter book printed on Jumelle press and once every 150 books printed on Chambon press. With full perforations such books are very scarce.
